Swedish Thrash Metal band formed in 1993.
The band was founded under the name Machine God. After the first gig in spring 1994 it was decided to change the band name to Face Down.
In early 1999, Marco decided to leave the band and join The Haunted. Soon after Marco's departure the band splitted up.
In 2004 Joakim (Harju) Hedestedt felt that it was time to reunite the band. He had heard about Marco Aro's departure from The Haunted and started making some phone calls to his old band mates. Face Down was reborn.
