MOVIES
Rob Zombie has proved an undeniable box office success with his re-imagining of John Carpenter’s Halloween in 2007, which premiered at #1, and held the Labor Day Weekend box office record for 14 years. Having breathed new life into the Halloween franchise, he also helmed Halloween 2 (Dimension), in August 2009, notably departing from the originals by delving into the ill-fated childhood of Michael Myers. Prior to that, Zombie wrote and directed the 2004 cult favorite House of 1000 Corpses (Lionsgate) and its companion, 2005’s critically acclaimed The Devil’s Rejects (Lionsgate), which chronicles the mayhem of the psychopathic Firefly family. For the first time ever, fans are able to see a glimpse into the mind of Rob Zombie with a new House of 1000 Corpses book, in which Rob details his thoughts & filmmaking process into the cult classic with never before seen notes, photos and exclusives from the director’s personal archives. The Devil’s Rejects celebrates it’s 20th anniversary in 2025 with a return to theaters in the United States, along with a special 4K UHD release packed with special features. Zombie returned to the family for the third installment in September of 2019 entitled 3 From Hell (Lionsgate, Saban Films).
Outside of the Halloween franchise and Firefly trilogy, Rob Zombie has also written and directed fan favorites, such as an R-rated animated feature, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (Starz), 31 (Saban Films), The Lords of Salem (Lionsgate) The Munsters
(Universal). Based on the 1960’s family sitcom of the same title, The Munsters was Zombie’s first PG-rated horror comedy film.
