Sinner had a contract with Nuclear Blast between 1998 and 2007. During this time, they released the following albums:

• The Nature Of Evil (1998, info | shop)
• The Second Decade (1999, info)
• The End Of Sanctury (2000, info)
• There Will Be Execution (2003, info | shop)
• Mask Of Sanity (2007, shop)

For years, Sinner have posed as inspiring and often times influential figures among melodic rock and metal fans alike. They stood beside bands like Accept and were one of the first bands to bring the German sound of metal to the world.
The exceptional success of their Touch of Sin and Comin' Out Fighting albums catapulted the band to the very peaks of the European metal scene.

Their live show bore even more impact, so much so that their opening, special guest appearance with rock giants Deep Purple ended with DP vocalist Ian Gillian personally thanking Sinner after the tour and crowning them the "best special guests of the '90s". Following such a "knighting," the band was a clear crowd thriller with their slot on the Wacken Open Air festival (Germany) in 1999, churning enthusiasm from the masses (a crowd of more than 20,000)!

The band closed out the '90s with The Second Decade, a "best of" record documenting career high points while clearing the way for a whole new decade of Sinner magnificence.

When the jaws of nu-metal momentarily overshadowed the metal scene, only those with uncompromising dedication found the drive to march on with the metal crusade. Sinner stood tall amongst them.
The band kicked off the '00s with The End of Sanctuary, a record that refused to bend to any trends.
Now, 2003's There Will Be Execution follows and is quite possibly the band's most intricately defined bout of heaviness. The title sets the tone.

Coming off the success of Primal Fear, founder/vocalist/bassist Mat Sinner is once again leading his namesake down a path in music history that he helped create, and he's pulled in some extremely talented musicians to further the cause: ex-Primal Fear and ex-Thunderhead guitarist Henny Wolter, Saxon drummer (and member of cult prog rockers Eloy) Fritz Randow and returning guitarist Tom Naumann (ex-Primal Fear).

Loaded with thrashing rock, There Will Be Execution showcases Sinner's talent for playing riff rock that can appeal to fans of all styles. "Die on Command" and "Locked and Loaded" are laden with patented Sinner groove, while "The River" and the acoustic ballad "Crown of Thorns" show the darker side of the band with melodies that will appeal to melodic rock fans and the title track slips into thrash metal territory. "Finalizer" even features backing vocals from Primal Fear's Ralf Scheepers (also ex-Gamma Ray). There Will Be Execution is an unbelievable album that presents traditional metal in a nearly inexhaustible variety of styles.
