The Exploited - Beat The Bastards (Deluxe 2CD)

Formed in Edinburgh in 1980, THE EXPLOITED were an answer to the ever-present “No Future” attitude of the time. With ex-squaddie Wattie Buchan (vocals), Big John Duncan (guitar), Dru Stix (drums) and Gary McCormack (bass), the band was a raw and rough outlet from the start, never diluting its music for public consumption. Their 1981 debut »Punk's Not Dead« topped the independent album chart, reached #20 in the national charts and sold 150,000 copies, and 1982's »Troops Of Tomorrow« hit #17.

Through countless line-up changes, THE EXPLOITED never sold out, never split up and never bowed down, staying fiercely political, anti-authoritarian and anti-war. Their 1996 album »Beat The Bastards« is a high point of that defiance; the title-track video saw the band drown a Tory politician. THE EXPLOITED are punk rock!
