Textures - Phenotype (CD)

While inspiring loads of modern metal bands, putting India on the metal map and paving the way for mathcore, djent and modern prog, TEXTURES always go in their own direction, making great modern metal songs and memorable albums. 2015 marks the start of the »Phenotype« / »Genotype« era: two albums, released on Nuclear Blast Records, built around one concept. The Dutch sextet took over two years to write and record albums five and six.

»Phenotype«, the first of the two, is a song-based, 60-minute release and an eclectic overview of what modern metal offers: catchy, innovative and progressive songs. New members Uri Dijk (synth) and Joe Tal (guitar) bring a new, harmonic vibe to the mature TEXTURES sound.
